Cantigny Dog Days

Once a year Cantigny Park in Wheaton welcomes dogs onto their grounds during "Cantigny Dog Days."  There are vendors, agility demonstrations, disc dog demonstrations, an off leash play area at this fun event.  

This year I had a booth and offered a special, on site $5. pet portrait. This was my first year at Cantigny as a vendor so I had no idea what to expect. I thought I would have time to shoot the event as well as portraits, but I was wrong. The on site special was a huge success and even had lines forming for people waiting for their portraits! 

The event ran from 10-5, but the time flew by! My body felt like I had been on my feet shooting all day, but in my mind, it only felt like an hour or two had passed. I met a lot of awesome pets, got more puppy kisses than I could count and took lots of portraits! Now comes the fun part when I get to relive the experience all over again by editing all the photos. Photos from this event will be available on my website beginning 8/10/13.
